Home Renovations
Whether you’re looking to start all over or just transform key areas, I am here to help you revive your existing home. Re-designing a home can be an overwhelming experience and I am here as a partner to help you hone in on the vision for your new space. I collaborate with architects and builders to create a seamless experience - including material selections, lighting plans, cabinetry layouts, and more.
01
Conceptual Design
During our first meeting I will show your space’s potential with 1-2 floor plans and a coordinating 3D Model. This will take these hard-to-translate line drawings and give you a clear picture of what your space can become. After we have agreed on a layout you are comfortable with, we move onto Phase 2.
02
Design Development
Now that a basic floor plan has been agreed upon, we get down to the nitty-gritty. Design development simply means that we are building on our layout and this is where the bulk of our time will be spent together. At this time, I will introduce more technical drawings like cabinetry and tile layouts. We also get to do the fun part, which is pick out the “pretties.” Trips to tile showrooms, flooring exhibits and furniture stores will all be included in this phase. Selections will be made intentfully, ensuring we accomplish your aesthetic while also staying within your budget.
03
Construction Documentation
After we’ve decided on all materials, furnishings and fixtures - I will document an official construction set. These drawings will include all the information needed to construct your space and gives the contractor a clear vision to accurately bid out your spaces. This will allow the contractor to give you a more concrete price and make the process of construction run smoothly. At the end of this phase you will have a complete drawing set along with a digital design board to remind you of your future spaces as the construction process unfolds.
04
Project Management
Don't want to say goodbye just yet? Good - me either! I would love to meet your contractor and help translate the vision throughout construction. With the project management phase, I will meet your contractor, visit the site multiple times and be your second pair of eyes. If there are any last-minute changes or substitutions needed, I will be there ready to roll with the punches. This process can be often times messy and overwhelming but I will be there as an advocate to ensure you get exactly what you want in the end.
